2023 is set to be an exciting year for Türkiye, as a number of events will take place throughout the year. Please see below for more information. 

Events

Turkish Cuisine Week (21st-27th May)

This year marks the second annual Turkish Cuisine Week. During the week, there will be a couple of exciting events taking place in the UK. 

This year's dishes for the events have been specially selected and inspired by the cuisine from the Hatay region, a place that has long been world-renowned for its diverse cuisine. Featuring more than 650 dishes, Hatay's gastronomy is a Mediterranean cuisine characterized by fresh vegetables, quality olive oil, legumes, and cereals.

Live Demonstration for Content Creators

The first of these events will be an exclusive live demonstration hosted by chef Maximilian J. W. Thomae. It will take place online on the evening of the first day of cuisine week.

During the event, content creators will have the opportunity to learn more about the diverse Turkish cuisine and cook a vegan delicacy ‘KISIR’ from the comfort of their own kitchens.

Le Cordon Bleu Demonstration and Tasting

The second event will take place on Thursday 25^th May at 6pm at the prestigious Cordon Bleu culinary school in London where two alumni, Ali Yalcin and Mustafa Yilmaz, will be giving an informative demonstration. 

During the evening, the Turkish chefs will take the guests through some traditional dishes, including Oruk and Tepsi Kebabi in addition to giving them tasters of both Visneli Kisir and Zeytin Piyazi.
